νεβρίζειν (from νεβρός—"fawn")
My favorite Greek verb is νεβρίζειν (from νεβρός—"fawn") used by Euripides to describe how maenads would tear young wild animals apart in ecstasy. when they weren't slaughtering them with their bare hands the female worshippers of Dionysus were also known to breastfeed baby animals, especially fawns and wolf cubs, as depicted in the Bacchae and in the Pompeii frescoes.
